seriously...when you say hps light fixture..what do you mean....a reflector, something to hang the light with, build your own ballast?

nickfury, i suggested something like this. this is idea for ballast, he deffenetly shouldnt use cardboard for HPS.
anyway, its pretty hard to burn cardboard. lights would make it crispy and it would crisp apart, but deffinetly not burn
thats not a ballast smart guy........i dont know where you get this idea that lighting will not burn cardboard......

sometimes you can buy diy kits with all the components..you just have to put it together yourself.....but then again..alot of places have specials where you can pick up a 400w set up for around 150 or less
