Light Question

Hey. I started a thread like this before but it was in the wrong group. I started off with one seedling i grew from a 15 watt flor. tube. it grew to about 7 inches tall. I transplanted it into a larger pot with mg oragnic soil. I also bought a 42/150w cfl light and hung it 1/2 an inch away from the top. The leafs drop downward and the bottom ones are yellow & dry.I know it just may be in shock. Will just one cfl light be enought to save this plant and actualy have effective growth? i also know mh and hps lights are better but can i start with cfl being that im new with this?

CFL's are fine for first timers. Some people like myself have tried other lighting and prefer to grow with cfl's. Droopy leaves may be a watering problem. And if you are talking about the little round leaves, they are the seed meat and they are supposed to die off within the first week or two of the plants life.

More cfl's will definately benefit you however. Buy a couple 125w cfl's to add to what you have and you should be set for awhile ...
