Light Question :)

im looking at buying a fluorescent strip light with 2x35w 6500k bulbs just wondering i have 3 plants all getting LST would this be ok lighting for them and how long before i would have to before i had add another 2x35w ones?

im looking to veg the plants for roughly about 2 moths before turning to flowering i have 2 clones 1 off 1 plant and 1 off the other im gonna flower theses pretty soon to determined the sex of the others

by two 35 watt? i assume you mean t8?

yeah there t8 im having problems getting the 6500k bulbs and i can only get 2700k or 3500k

if it is like the long one then they aren't that good! I left my set up like this for a week and a half when I came back the plant on the left totally grew into the hydrofarm 2ft 2 tube t5 and I didn't see any upward growth. the plant on the right didn't have a t5 on the side for the week and a half and barely grew at all! I moved it up top to root clones with! It will keep a plant alive but it will have really slow growth! I now have 2 of the 4ft 2 tube 35w t8s above my clones and 4 2 ft 2tube t5's for the mothers.

I got the 6500 bulbs at lowes! under 8 dollars for 2 4ft bulbs!

depends! I got the whole setup for 21dollars! Like I said I bought another and have 2 above my clones! They will keep plants alive on a budget! and work well for cloning! They just don't have a lot of lumens!

well what i was thinking is getting 2 of the fittings so i would have 4 t8 fittings with 3500k bulbs
or just go for a 2x70w hps? or 2 150w hps?

i live in the uk so i havent a clue what lowes in sorry

would 2 150w hps be hot like ? at the moment i have 10 25w cfl's and i can kepp the temp between 75 and 99 and anywhere in betweens

Just one of them is going to be hotter than you 10 cfl's
