I know everyone says to veg under a 6500 or 5000 light. How bad would it be to use 3000 spectrum light. I am running 6 to 8 40 watt CFL's that are all 3000. I didn't realize this until I go them home and read the little print on the bulb. I went back to the store home depot and lowes and could not find any bulbs that run in the 5000-6500 spectrum except the smaller watts. Any other chain stores that would carry these?

More blue light is better for veg. You might have to go with 23w if that's all you can find. You can also mail order them you know. Try amazon.com
Yeah I am looking online now to order them. I have my seeds and box all ready to go and thought it could work with just the lights I bought.

yep. you want 6500k(blue) during vegitative stage, and 2700k(red) during flowering. you can also use a mixture of those 2 types throughout your grow....good luck
