light placement

anybody ever tried putting lights that point up at the plant instead of just haning over the plant?

If you are talking about under the plants, as in the light shining on the bottom of the leaves, then yes people have tried it, and the plants don't absorb light through the bottom of their leaves. THat is why many plants will turn their leaves vertical when it gets to bright or hot.
