I've found that they're of limited value, best for spreading out a hotspot under a big lamp kept close to the canopy. Good light management will generally obviate the need for one.

Would i be able to increase amount of plants i grow since it would cover more space? trying to fill a 4x8 room without getting more lights. ( keep electricity from spiking)

The 600W HPS lamp does a good job with a 3x3', an acceptable job with 4x4'. Adding a second one is the way forward- that, or COB LED lighting; Expensive up front but very efficient and extremely long lasting.
The light mover will simply create a tent full of lanky, spindly plants that will be magnets for problems because they aren't getting anywhere near enough light.
Based on this grow I'd consider 600W on a rail as good as 1000W, but that's just off his ratio. If anything, bump your photo period to compensate for any missed photons. It takes time for plants to sleep and wake. They should be unfazed in the moments away from the light.
You seems intent on the light mover, even though experienced hands are telling you they aren't worth it???
The fact is, in all the research you have done, you know what the min requirements for light are for decent quality yield... so you already know that 2X600 is just barely enough for a 4x8 room.... and want to spread one light out even thinner??? You ask the question knowing the answer already, which means you don't like the answer snd so you'll keep asking until somebody gives you the answer you want.
Well... why waste time? Just go ahead and spend the money and find out yourself. We tried to tell ya...
