Light leak questions

As I've posted before I ended up with some herms of my own strain there's a ton of possibilities of why they could of went herm but wondering now about light leak. In my room there is a door that blocks most light some seeps though the edges but the light doesn't touch the plant. Also why doesn't moonlight affect plants? Is it the light that comes off what? Trying to learn here

Any light no matter what can make a plant herm, and yes you get plants that hermie over just a moonlight but really its moon length is too short, to affect most, patch that light/smell leak, and keep a small fan in there..

^^^^^ i disagree. I've let light in my room plenty of times why they sleep. for a brief moment. I have had light leaks for years. not one hermie. plants hermie due to unstable genetics and poor breeding. if light leaks were in issue. the green lights at lights off would cause major problems. they do if left on for more than a couple min. since green light drives photosynthesis.

I have some light leaks in my room . well only when the co2 controller lights up . and a few other electronics light up. knock on wood. any big light leaks will herm plants. total shit genetics can herm plants. most common is light times not the same every day or some leaving a light on by mistake very common to fuck the plants

The deal here is not green light bulb in the center of grow room, I have and use one, but in the context of white light, that disrupts the night time patten of plants on 12 x 12 ..you are very fucked up and wrong as usual, further proof that a high post count on RIU.org don't mean shit come time to advising members

^^^^^^ green light helps plants pull photons from all regions. That acts the same as white light sort of speak. Me and several people have had light leaks and no issues. Just like stars moonlight and city lights. Mj can easily adapt to almost any environment. Don't get your panties in a bunch because you have unstable genetics . Gain some experience, not just what you are told. Then come back and talk.
