light green tips at 450ppm?

Hi please could I ask what these light green /pale tips mean as I could not have burnt them with 450ppm with canna nutes ? The last few feeds have gone from 250ppm 300ppm 350ppm and then yesterday 450ppm . Today I see pale tips . Is this not enough of something or too much? I did add co2 yesterday two and they look more healthy / perky and vigorous aside from this problem

Looks like just some minor tip burn, good practice to increase slowly and watch them closely. May want to back down to 400 ppm so they don't actually burn. Assuming you're in soil or some form of soil/peat mix. I use a 50% soil/50% pro-mix blend and supplement feeds, 450 ppm is a high as I go in flowering, 400 in veg. RH at 65-70 isn't bad in veg as long as you have tons of circulation. I target 60-65%, odd time it goes up to 70 and haven't seen any issues. PM is about the only thing to worry about in veg which can hit above 60% but even in my area which is full of PM outside I haven't seen it in veg.

Your RH goes up as the temperature drops even tho there is the exact same amount of moisture in the air as when it was warmer. The level of humidity is RELATIVE to the temp and that's why they call it RH or Relative Humidity. What it is when the lights are on is more relevant to your plant's growing than when it's dark. For veg and early flowering you want 60 - 70% and once the buds are getting fat it's best at 50% or lower to help prevent bud rot.

A lot of strains get yellow/brown tips no matter what but yours almost look like there may be a bit of deficiency going on as the yellowing seems to be extending back from the tips more than just being a strain that gets brown tips. Keep an eye on that but it doesn't look like you need to do anything right away.

What medium are you growing in as that has a lot to do with how your plants grow too.

Hi thanks , I am in coco/hydroton 60/40 mix. I agree with you but if you can see half way down the leaf is also kind of pale green ?

Hi I am In coco/hydroton 60/40 mix water once a day with upto that 450 ppm being the highest with canna line nuts, some other plants seem very slightly wrinkled on the leaves and some half curled leaves but my heat has never been a problem or wind . My humidity only goes so high in darkness so I may just keep my ac on or take the ducting off the cool tubes and leave outake fan on in night cycles so it vents the room through the lights and then reattach duct at lights on so the outside air source cools the lights without any venting touching my actual room as it's sealed with running co2 also?
 
If you are running CO2 you don't want too much ventilation or you go thru a lot of gas. Does it have a controller on it so it shuts off the CO2 when the fan kicks in? Even then all the extra CO2 gets tossed out. I use a heat/RH controller on my exhaust fan so it only runs when either the heat or the humidity gets high enough to trip the fan on. You could get a bathroom humidity controller at the hardware store to run your fan at night to keep the RH down in the dark then you wouldn't be losing gas. Easy to wire up and can just be mounted on a wall.

With coco you should be adding some CalMag as I hear it needs extra. I use peat based grow media for pots. ProMix HP being my fave.

I found a great spot to download FREE POT BOOKS. I downloaded a grow bible first and got lots more. Books look great and complete like the real ones I have here. No web site but just a page of links. Just right click on what you want and then "Save Link As" to download so they don't open first as some are 50+ megs. They got lots. Enjoy.

Hi thank you again for the good advice , here is my set up below, my room is fully sealed using vented cool tubes and the duct from the cool tubes do not move any air in the room it comes straight from an outside port through the tubes then the fan to out of the room but if I break this connection at dark period so the fan pulls the air from the room instead of from the outside port during dark to vent the room for RH decrease and maybe keep the ac on at 20oc for fresh air circulation with osculating fan ? This is day2 with co2 and haven't got a ppm monitor so no clue how much is in there but they look good

I'm not at all sure that you're going to get much increase in growth using CO2 unless you are running higher temps like 85F. Later as they take up a lot more space in the room and especially during the stretch CO2 will help a lot. Without a CO2 meter it's all kind of guesswork anyway. Does it have some sort of auto shutoff or you just leting it slowly leak int the room?

I used CO2 on a grow a couple back but just went in and gave the room a 4sec blast right out of the tank and had set my fan for around 90F. 3 times a day and saw explosive growth for the stretch then ran out just about the time it was over. Hoping to have a proper controller by this fall but will only run around 800ppm until the stretch then double that for 3 weeks.

I think for now you should shut the gas off and disconnect the intake so it can suck air out of the room and let fresh air in. Make sure you have some filter on the inlet from outside or plug it if cleaner air can be drawn in from outside the grow room. It's always cool air outside my grow room in the basement and no outside air is allowed in directly. All the air that gets into the room is finely filtered but not HEPA. Static free wiping cloths cover all the intake vents. Keeps even tiny spores out.

I really don't see anything wrong with your humidity now for vegging plants. Could be some good ideas in some of those e-books or search here and/or elsewhere for sealed room operation and what you need to do to dial it all in. I have a gas line very close to the grow room so might go with a burner as I need heat more often than I have to get rid of it. Then a cheap, simple on/off ppm sensor would be good enough. I could get one with a solenoid for the CO2 welding tank and flow gauge I already have for around $350 I think but then have to run the tank an hour away for a $65 refill when it runs out. Nat. gas is dirt cheap here and I already run my own wiring so a gas line won't get me in any more trouble. :)

Sounds good :) , I do have a c02 controller with the tank and regulator but it is very basic as in you just set it to your room size and it doses acordingly but I have it on a plug timer and run it 15 min on and 45 min off for the whole of lights on as I have no monitor equipment yet. You can definatly tell the difference with co2 added instantly and clearly, I wish I had a gas pipe near too ha , thanks and good luck.
