light getting in...even just a lil' bit....

i've been flowering for 5 weeks, going into my 6th 2day. after 2 weeks all showed but 1, anyhow, the 3 females i have aren't doing anything, just a few hairs & getting taller. started 12/12 after 6 week veg.

the plants actually seem to have gone back into veg, can a very lil bit of light getting inside cause this ?.....i have seen others with plants after 3 weeks flowering & i'm not even close to that !

last nite i spent hours on correcting the light seepage issue & would like to know what to expect. will my plants go back to flowering & be ok, will it take a few weeks to kick in or will it just pick rite up ?

What kind of lights are you using? are you still useing the day light bulbs?

I don't know a lot. But there is bound to be someone in the know here soon.

i have 1 bulb that is 13w, i want to grow 6 plants, will this be enuff till harvest & how much will my yield be ?

lmao...that'll have all the so called experts out with calculators crunching numbers, telling us about the speed of light as it bounces off of mylar & things like that....lol

Keep in mind that in a natural setting it is never pitch dark. There are stars and the moon that create light. When the moon is full it's pretty bright at night.

I don't think a couple of small light leaks would be that big of deal.

some plants hate lite leeks you should have 100% darkness with no leeks for best results

i've herd it should be absolutely dark. like you shouldnt be able to see thing 3 feet way

Jojaxx... I know this could be a typing mistake but...

Are you sure you are using the right lights...

Daylight bulbs are 6500k

Softlight bulbs are 2700k

If you are using "Daylight" bulbs... that could be the reason your girls are a bit confused.

Hi man..relax.. 3 hours is a bit short in time to get all pissy... OK what you can do is give it 24+ hours dark to try to put it back to flower..and avoid that light leak shit or you might end up with hermis..... Pot is suicidal..it'll die or grow balls just to teach you a lesson.... Damn those lovely plants....... Luck

ok, now i'm being sincere...THANX GUYS !!!.....now, to answer a few questions.....

@ miss...i felt exactly the same way about the night not being totally pitch black as they say, so i wasn't concerned with the small amount of light that may have been getting in but i don't know what else it could be being that they showed hairs & then just quit on me...only getting taller, nothing else seems to be wrong with them, visually anyways.

@ moon & weezer....i've heard it being said time & time again about the total darkness, thats why i've been trying to get an answer on what would happen if even a lil light gets in...what affect would it have on the plants ?

@ surveyor....lol, it was a joke son...lmao, but you kind of proved my point by side stepping my real question & making a run at the bull.

@ wolman...1st off, WUT UP HOMIE...lol....anyway, nawww man, i said i'm not using daylite bulbs....6-42w...2-25w...6-23w....all 2700k..i had a couple 6500k in there but took them out after all this.

@ twisty...thanx for your response bro...i'll try that if they don't pick it up by the weekend. i corrected the light leek problem & gonna give them a couple days to see if i see a change. as far as me gettin pissy after a few hours...lol...it just seems that i never get an answer to a ligit question on here but the not so smart question get plenty of attention, like the 1 light bulb thing..lmao...anyway, great response man & thanx again to you all !

Any way.. I like the idea of giving them period of 24 hour darkness.. just in case they are confused about what they should be doing lol...... gata love these plants no?

wut up wolf ??!!....i like it too, but i'm gonna give them this weekend to do something...if i don't see a pick up in bud growth thats what i'll do...i wanted to get thm back to having the lights on during the day anyway.

hey bro, i started another grow...lol...got 4 sprouts from seeds i planted this past saturday/early sunday & they came up tuesday. also took 2 clones from that monster i got growing in my box....its the 1 i took a pic of in the corner....had 4 others from her that died so did things a lil different this time & they look good !

i'll start posting that grow this weekend...peace

That doesn't sound like a bad idea wolf. Sometimes when what your doing isn't working obviously you gotta try something else lol. I say just stick with the 12/12 and be patient it could take more than a week for it to show sex. Feeding it quality nutes that are low in nitrogen high in phosphorus and moderately high amounts of pottasium. That will encourage a plant to flower my friend. Whatever you do, don't give up

Have patience, it will eventually show itself.

Mine has been in 12/12 for a week now and I feel like I'm going to explode. Just show me a sign already. All we can do is wait. At least you're not in the boat alone .

thanx guys, its nice to know i'm not alone although it seems like it at times..lol....things are getting better...the 2 that had shown early on are starting to push out fresh hairs again...i'll put up some pics during the weekend in the journal. i'll see yall there, PEACE.
