Light deprivation..?

Hey guys, just saw a video of guy who in Veg instead of lsting he would put a cup over his bud blocking the light and in return the other shoots would come up as if they were durring a LST grow.. seems like it wouldnt be good for whatever budsite your covering, thought it was kind of different and was wondering what everyones take on it would be.

I think it's ridiculous. Most of these yahoo's on youtube are full of it. They either don't know what they're talking about or they're just putting on an infomercial for a product. I didn't even bother watching the video. In fact I don't watch any youtube video's on growing cannabis. If you want to learn how to do things wrong then youtube is the place to go. Those cups on the bud sites was all I needed to see.

thats different. i might try it next time, he said it was just overnight so i dont see the harm. it wouldn't give the spread like LST would.

How so? You haven't changed the light hours for the plant you've only covered some branches.

By any chance what are you guys using to tie down your plants when LSTing when the pots dont have any good locations.?

Week 7 Two pineapple express and 1 late cookies kush. Trying to really get these things to pop the next three weeks while also moving them to 3g pots

The branch will sex. People used to cover a branch with a brown paper bag to check the sex on plants. Just seemed like a lot of time and trouble to me.

yeah what althor said. i just look at preflowers but i have heard of that trick.

I used metal cloth hangers to make hooks with long shaft that I stick in the soil. as the branch grow I move these hooks toward the edge of the pot

binder clips attached to the side of the pot, bam instant anchor point.
