light cycle disruption during lights on!

for the second morning ive went to sort the temps out for lights out,(Lights are on during my night) its been 10 min before the lights should be out, yet there already out! obviously the lights are turning off some time through the light cycle they deffo came on as i check every-time, i know for a fact there getting at least 12 hours uninterrupted darkness think the timers broken, ive replaced it im 4 wk into flower will my baby's be oka? no smart arsed comments please! i just want some friendly advice from a fellow grower bongsmilie

you dont get what i mean, i dont know when the lights are going out, the last time i checked was lights on, the next time was 10 min before lights out. and it was in darkness now from 6pm to 6am the lights have gone out for how long dont know could have been in darkness from 8pm ??????????? ive stuck to my 6am off and 6pm on just avnt got a clue how many hours its had in the light cycle hope this explains it more

Then set an alarm to turn them on/off manually until you get a new timer.

If you don't know how much light they're getting, there's no way we can tell if they'll be ok or not.
 
ill rephrase the question... is it detrimental for a flowering plant to have its light cycle disrupted 4 weeks into flower, i know if the dark is disrupted you get Hermes ive been a victim of it BUT what happens when its the opposite?

They could still hermie from stress. Its not an automatic thing though, plants can be unpredictable.
 
Like deadgro said you can still get Hermes, i currently have mine sleeping for 12 1/2 hours. give me extra sleep so far they f ing loving it.

You should be fine. Ive never read anything on extra dark making hermis. Some guys leave the plants 48 hrs in the dark when they flip to flower. I usually check my plants two times a day, when they wake up and an hour or two before their bed time. That way i can water or fix any issues that may have occured during the day like broken branches from weight or atmospheric control problems. I think youll be fine bud.

not much really i can do about it, just wasnt sure on the odds of it fucking my grow up, i know the background of my strain so if it does herm ill have a shit loads of fem seed oh god live and learn, next grow ill do lights on during my day so i can check on them from time to time

might try that thanks i have read about giving more dark but dont that effect the final yield?

yeah i was affraid of that but like ailen widow said he ant seen any evidence of hermies with more darkness, i couldnt fnd anything on it ether thanks ill let yous know how i got on :joint:

In the summer is a good time to do lights at night. I have to spend 12 hr days in mine so i had to finally change to days. Working all night just became a drag and screwed with my schedule too much. If your ac unit struggles to keep up it is a good way to keep the temps down, and if you have a smallish grow it aint so bad.

thanks for the guidance no doubt ill be back in touch lol. only my second grow there a bit short but hey ho the last ones were but i got 8oz of 7 these are double the vertical size, need to work on my stretch :wall: haha had the light way too close, worried about them stretching too much :cuss:plus my clones were tiny probs why there so short live & learn :razz: Rome wasnt built in a day,

Dont worry about em streching just snap the main top get em bushier =) if you have the space of course. Now if you leave the lights of for an extra half to an hour worst that can happen is that they wil ltake like 2-5 days longer to reach their potential.

thanks bud i can live with 2-5 days of stunt much appreciated fella (: its 2m high my tent its just on the seed info i got with the seed said to watch for stretch as they can get out of control, Dr Crippling incredible bulk they called and royal queen critical
 
Next run try and not defoliate one of those and see if you yield more. Id bet you will. Ive run lots of tests and i just do minor trim out before flip or right after. You should have plenty of light from that cool tube to get the lower bud to mature. And if light is your concern just drill a bunch of 1/4 inch holes around the container and start tying those branches down like a scrog without the screen. Ive seen killer grows done like that. I dont have the time for it in my big room but if i was still closet growing id totally be on it.
 
yeah im trying to run before i can crawl, ive been thinking of tying them down with pipe cleaners but ive already took the lower buds off think ill just concentrate on the top ones but ive took on board what you have said and im wiser for it thank you info is priceless, im thinking that with them being short they will have a low center of gravity = heavyer buds, its like a weight lifter small and stocky folk are power houses mabey i over think thing lol just wish id found this site sooner it would of saved me a lot of time and money

I am crawling but I use my Garage sink and plug my water pump and go crawn under while my favorite playlist of songs are jamin, shhiiiiiiieeeet what a hobbie =)
