Light and nutrient after pollination?

Ready to get things going on making some seeds but im having a hard time getting solid info on these two things. My googling is failing me rn.
How much light do I need to give a pollinated plant and is 3000k still a good choice?
How do I feed it? Ive read they need more nitrogen and I wouldnt be worried about resin production or anything like that so it kinda sounds like I should be fine throwing just some megacrop at it?

Overall I am just lacking info on if this needs to be treated much different than a regular flowering plant.
Pollinating 1 whole plant at a time in a small 2x3 tent. Id like to get a fairly large haul from 1 plant so I dont have to run the same strain for seeds again.
I have a 2ft 4 bulb 96w T5 thats extra, if I throw some 3000k bulbs in that and train the plants and keep it low will that be enough? If not, what should I look at to light this plant?

This is what im working with atm.

Stay with a 12/12 flowering cycle for your lights.

Your seeded plants should be grown no different than any other female plant in flower. Before I started doing my breeding in separate tents, I would grow out my seeded plants in my normal flowering tent. ie. As much light as possible, and with the same nutrient mix.

3000k is good if you've got nothing else. The lower, the better, but again, you want as much light as you can get in there, just like any flowering plant.

Hey Fragile. You'll be fine with your regular dose of MC you use during a non-seed production run. Lights as well. No extra precautions as far as nutes and lighting goes.

Thank you both.
I am more concerned about the light intensity I guess? Just wondering if that t5 will be enough. I just dont want to have to buy a new qb setup or anything for it.

You should be fine with what your using...what do they say ~30 watts per foot square...yours is 4 ft sq so 120 watts would be perfect, but your not far off with 96 (little more then 75%).
I treated my plants like any other I've grown and ended up with +100 seeds from a fairly small plant (think it was about 12-18 inches in height).
Hope that helps.
Best of luck and happy growin' :P

Edit...oops 6 sq ft so 180 watts...little over 50%...my bad, sorry

Ahhh ok. I myself have never flowered under T-5s. I've seen it done and know they are more than capable to flower. I'm just not sure how much wattage you need to get the correct photon count for your tent.
I'm won't guess nor give you a bs answer. 6sq ft with "todays" leds at 30 watts per square ft would be 180 watts. I'm not sure how that relates to T5s tho. So I'll stop here as that's are far as my knowledge extends.
I will say,if the plants bud/shoot pistillate stigma, once you flip the switch, they're getting enough light to produce seeds.

Yeah thats where the hangup is lol.
I love them for veg, but i have never flowered anything with them.
I plan to keep them fairly small. Under 2ft for sure. So I can run the light close.
Maybe ill just yolo it and see how it goes, the first run is pretty much an experiment anyways.

Yup, since you can basically slam the t5s down on your plants,it'll work, they'll flower and you'll get the copious amount of seeds you desire. As Maker Grow stated, you're about half the wattage needed,by todays LED standards. T5s flouros run by their own rules. The soft light they emit and their spread should do that space justice.
Will you continue the run in this thread? I'm subbed and will be lurking the progress. If not, give me a hollar "@" so I can lurk the thread or journal if you create one.
I love experiments.

Sure.
Itll be a few days before much else happens though. Im shopping for my STS stuff now.
The plants im going to sacrifice for the first run are already in another veg box. The first one is going to end up being done with what I have on hand, so we're going to make some grape stomper/gg#4 x skywalker OG

Last one I promise lol,if you feel you need just a bit more oomph,a few Screw-In-LEDs 9 or 14 watters screwed into light socket adapters plugged into a gfci strip extension chord is a nice near little supplemental light....if needed/wanted.

I had also thought about something like that. Maybe even just do it and run them as side lighting.

Veddy Niiiiice. I have Grape Ape & Skywalker OG(mamafunk) close! As a matter of fact,I have 6-7 of her clones. I'm going to reverse and S1 them all, then hit them all with each other's pollen.
Sundae Driver,Grape Ape,Wedding Cake,Skywalker OG,Strawberry Cough,Motorbreath & damn I can't remember the others atm.

oh and following this STS diy guide also.

Schwaggy P a member here has a nice pictorial guide in his thread. Before his pictorial I used Colloidal Silver exclusively. STS is so much better IMO & quicker...less spraying.

Not sure if you know this already, but there are 2 types of types of Sodium Thiosulfate and the amounts used differ pending which one is bought.

*edit* I knew I recognized that link you put up on the STS. That recipe makes a lot! I used Schwaggys recipe for a small mix.He also has ratios for stronger/weaker solutions. Check it out brother.

I prefer sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate, the photographer’s “hypo”.
The article of commerce is these beautiful uniform prismatic crystals.

these are whats im my cart so far. I like the idea of the ready made a and b parts thatll last a while. Will give that a good read. If this goes well, its something id like to have running year round for the foreseeable future.
Both seem like large amounts for how much I need, but these two make the most sense for the price point with shipping ect.. ill just have enough to last forever lmao

They'll last years.I keep mine on the fridge door in Hydrogen Peroxide bottles.
Only takes a minute amount of both from stock solutions for a run. I toss the stock solutions after the run. IIRC 75mls was the amount I made up per spray run between 2 plants 2 sprays for a total of 150mls.

Hydrogen peroxide bottles is a nice touch! I’ll remember that one.
