Hey guys, just an update on my first grow. wanted to know if this was a safe distance between light an plant? its a 400watt
M.H i've just set up in replacement from my CFL. Also, what week should one look to transplant? Thanks in advance
 
and you won't to transplant once you have a big 5 bladed leaf or 3 up to you but wait a while

, id rap something round them pots to stop light penetrating the pot and hitting the roots
 
thanks for the reply. i've backed it up a foot more, an wrapped foil around the pots to keep the light away. an okay cool, i'll post an update
once they start showing more than 3 big blades. appreciate the advice
 
Ya man, that close is a little extreme, especially at that age.
Generally speaking, if you can hold your hand between the light and leaf, comfortably, you're OK., but that young, they don't need quite THAT much light.
