Liberty Cap hunt!

Just back from 3 hours hunting, got about 150 nice sized liberty caps! Just air drying them now!
It was my first hunt and i fucking enjoyed it!

Haven't picked caps since the 90's....Had access to a 300 acre dairy all to myself.... Those were the days.

Hard to tell from the pics,but nice score..you picked em before and know what you're looking for,right?.. they look the right shape..I can't tell from pictures..hell in real life id have to take em to my friend to get them identified..lol

Yeah man, we saw so many different types. There was one that looked just like liberty caps, but they had white gills and spores, we were very careful with our selections!
We split the takings, but are off up there tomorrow after 'flicking' and 'pinching' all the ones we picked today!

If you're allowed to be blessed with a piece of land to hunt shrooms on,usually the owner has one request other than shrooms..you 'flick' the top of the cap to knock any loose spores free,and then you 'pinch' at the base of the shrooom rather than disturb the precious mycilium..

Yep, i had a fun day learning!! I teach my friend to grow weed, he tells me all his secret spots for fungi! All i need now is some chickens and a dog hahah!

if you managed to pick any quantity at all, the the chances are the entire field is either colonized or incapable of further support. If you are going to spread spores, go to another field as far away from the first one as is reasonable

I understand..but if the farmer wants me to run counter clockwise with the shroom in my hand in a 3 foot circle..ill do it..lol
