Longtime Liberal party insider Chuck Rifici has launched a defamation lawsuit against three high-profile Conservative MPs — including the party’s interim leader Rona Ambrose — over social media posts that Rifici argues contain allegations that he was involved in insider stock trading.

Rifici is the co-founder of the marijuana company Canopy Growth (then called Tweed), a company he has since left. He now sits on the board at rival firm Aurora Cannabis and was the Liberal party’s treasurer until last summer.

According to his statement of claim, filed with the Ontario Superior Court on February 28, he’s seeking $100,000 in damages respectively from Tory MPs Rona Ambrose, Alex Nuttall

Wait so the cherubic butch lesbian looking guy who made 18+ million cashing his stock from Tweed had his feelings hurt and wants 100k? BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. If it isnt true go to trial and prove them wrong. You cant just say "No i didnt" and provide no evidence then ask for compensation.

If you didnt do anything wrong Chuck you should have nothing to hide, right? So either show the papertrail proving them wrong or STFU. Kinda weird hes asking for so little, almost like hes hoping to settle

He'll have covered his ass, and when the stock sold it will show it was vested to sell that day. He's an accountant...like they don't know how to backdate numbers.
