Is it to late to switch to a HPS light to fatten up my buds? Any other comments or questions are welcomed.

they are all bag seed. they had a hard start do to overwatering and lack of lights.

looks great, what kind of light are you currently using? i think you could probably switch it no problem.

i am running some cfls if you check my sig it links to my albums that shows my grow box and some of the progress up to now.

i think as long as you have proper ventilation/cooling system, they would prosper. a lot of the light from thoses cfls is traveling straight up, subtracting from your lumens. a good hps with reflector will make plants very happy, as long as you have the space.

i have a 400 watt coming in tomorrow i just wasn't sure if it was to late to utilize it on this grow. I have some height issues but i lst'ed them pretty good so i think i will be fine as far as space goes. i figure that they are about 1.5+ foot tall if i was to uncoil them.

how tall is your space? youll need a couple feet in between your light and plants. that lst is prett nice by the way

Your plants will love it if you add more light! You should start off with the 400w hanging 3 feet over your plants, and lower to 18 inches over the next week, and your buds will fatten up nicely.

2.5 ft h x 3 ft w x 2 ft d . it does have a open face( no door) plus i did get a dimmable ballast. hoping that would help?

from what i can tell i will have about a little over a foot between them when i get the light hung up. so if i started on 50% power do you think that would be equivalent to starting them off at 3ft?

i start them a foot away from a 600w hps.

its not the intensity of the light. (unless you got something ridiculous going)

its the heat. (and to a lesser extent, lack of humidity.)
