Every time that my water reservoir runs low I need to refill it, and more often I have to ph it correctly.
However I always noticed that this really slimy shit would be on my water pump and air stones and it would get so bad that I had to take my pump apart and scrub the nasty crap off.
I'm not sure what it is, some sort of algae growth I would assume but it looks like white snot.
Now since I have a black 5 gallon pale as my reservoir I wondered how light could get in and cause growth, and I never realized it until now. My buckets are black but both of my lids are white and yellow. So when I was cleaning them out I saw how much light could easily penetrate through there. So it ss plainly obvious how that shit was growing in my water buckets
So learn from my mistake not to follow my retarded water reservoir setup make sure that everything is light proofed!
