lemon skunk, purple wreck 12/12 SOG side branching?

Hey all, I'm trying to grow single cola style like I've seen in some journals by taking clones and putting them straight to 12/12. Problem is, is that their is some side branching buds starting to develop. (albeit minimal) They are only 20 days into flower and I'm about to have my first defoliation. I was wondering if i should chop those branches off so they don't block off any of the other bud sites? Also wondering why that happens when the strains I have seen in a SOG 12/12 system seem to grow straight single colas....is it just strain dependent? Thank you for you time!

i just finished lemon skunk....see journal... massive side branches extra stretchy.....and coincidentally i am now running purple wreck but I FIMmed those girls

hmmm I couldn't find the right journal lol you should link me to it. Was it the ghs or dna LS? And how did you like it overall? Im especially curious about the taste. The huge side branches and stretchiness would make sense as to why its throwing out side branches though. I think youll like the purple wreck though its still early. Shes def less stretchy then ls and 20 days in she already smells like fruity pebbles <3

Hi mate

I'm pretty sure sog growers lollipop all their plants before they go into flower, that way you dont get side branching.

well from everything ive seen theirs zero veg time when you go straight to clone?

ya you let your clones root and once they start growing you flower them straight away

Ya thats what i said/did lol but i still got a side branch on my LS...defoliate or what come on some ones got to have an opinion!
