Legality of traveling with MMJ paraphernalia from California to Oregon?

So I'm going to visit some friends up in Oregon during Spring Break. I'm a MMJ patient here in California and I know its legal in Oregon, and I also know that transferring drugs across state lines is illegal. My friends up there have told me that their flower has to be in these special container or something so if I were to get searched I would still get arrested if I was in Oregon. But what about glass? Is it illegal to bring my bubbler and my pipe across state lines? They would both be clean and empty of any flower, so does anyone know if it is legal to travel across state line with MMJ paraphernalia but no actual product?

If it's clean "no trace of resins" then it's a tobacco / water pipes ect.. it's not paraphernalia until it's made into it
