Leds ... really?

There is a company here in michigan (i forgot the name) that makes these Fan light setups with 4 amplified LED's and a plasma in the center. i don't remember the numbers but it was really low on the watts scale and really high on the lumens and area covered. it was like $2300 bucks but the electricity savings would pay for it pretty quick. I'm gonna try and remember the name of the company il edit if i do.

These new lens amplified led's are sounding like it might be the ticket, or just another gimmick but damn if i could remember the name i think the lumens were pretty high.

LEP > HID > T5 PAR > T5 > LED > CFL

Ranked best to worst lighting for indoor growing. Plasma is rather expensive but the spectrum it targets is superior to everything else.

When I was helping manage a grow store I could not sell an LED even if I put my used car salesman mask on .. The stock collected dust and the owner lost her interest with the dust as I am sure they are still hanging around the shop ..

Only meet one LED grower in person and his harvests were a joke in the end but enough to to keep an old man content and medicated lol

I did a test run using a Solarstorm 800W panel. I started with the same clones of equal sized, DWC so they shared the same nutes, and I didn't even put up a light curtain so it had the benefit of receiving a bit of other spectrums from surrounding HPS bulbs. All four plants under the LED produced a lot less, with clearly smaller buds.
