Has anyone used this? Is it a good deal for 94$? what sort of a fan would I need with that?

That filter is rated for 470CFM, so any 6" inline fan at or below that CFM will do, if you are worried about noise you can get a slower fan and it will still suck through it if you dont need that much air movement
A 90 CFM with a 600 watt light will raise your temperature above the intake air temp by 21°. The 240 CFM fan will raise it 8°. 90 CFM wouldnt be enough. Its not the size of the cabinet that you want to take into consideration; its the wattage being used. Watts produce heat.
(600 × 3.2) ÷ 90 = 21.33
(600 × 3.2) ÷ 240 = 8
To find how much the light will warm the room with a different size fan you can just use this formula. Just take the wattage of the light and multiply by 3.2. Then divide the CFM of the fan to find how much the room will warm in Fahrenheit degrees.
For instance:
If the temperature of the intake air is 75° and youre using a 600 watt light, the temperature would go up 5° if you used a 384 CFM fan. So, the temperature would end up 80°.
(600 × 3.2) ÷ 384 = 5
5° + 75° = 80°

Depends on how much wattage yer throwing in there..plan accordingly and always go at least 25% above what you think you'll need for airflow

hey man, i was thiking about buying the 6" 470 cfm one. i wanted to set it up inline with some 6" air cooled reflectors. i want it to suck air from my flowering room (1000w x600w) through my veg room (600w x600w) to an 8inch hydro farm booster fan rated at 471 cfm, then to the air scrubber leading to another room. never had to worry about air scrubbing, you guys thinks this will do?
