I jsut put my plant into 12/12. Its in dark right now but i just realized that my pc fan has blue LEDs. The only fans i have, have LEDs in them. Will that light screw up the dark period of flowering? What would be better, leave it on or turn it off?

the dark period has to be 100 percent dark or its inhibits bud growth but ive accidently opened my door and stuff and mine seem fine but its better safe than sorry

from what I understand...light leakage ,, if its strong enough can throw them back into veg or make it so they don't even start to flower

What if there is light on it for just like a minute tops? I gotta go into the closet and plug the timer in. Just got a timer and temp/humidity thing.

outside plants get moonlight so surely a little bit of light won't hurt. And to be safe duct tape it or smash the light easily solved.

Are they "Antec" brand? I have a simmilar fan and what I did was i just snipped the little clear-gray wire that runs from the middle to the LEDs for the 120mm. If you have th 80mm Antec, the wire is really hard to get to. If you dont have a strong patience, i would just hook it up to the same timer tht your lights are connected to, because you don't really have to have your fans going while your lights off.

:peace:

there is 4 leds per fan, one in each corner. Im jsut gonna leave it off, i got it hooked up to the timer with the lights so in the morning everything will just come on.

its a good idea to have a fan on your plants when the lights are off because they can only absorb the co2 right in the leaves viscinity so you want air circulation 24/7

i would disconect the leds , i know its only a small amount of light , but its not worth the risk of it screwing up your dark period .

I don't think that the plants use C02 @ night....they do use oxygen and convert that to C02......not sure about them needing a fan 24/7 ...well mine don't get that and are doing gr8 :weed:

Yes that will affect your plants, i mean people veg with blue leds. Even a small amount of light and prevent it from flowering or stress it and go herm. You need absolute dark.
