LED Panels for Side Lighting?.

Hi all,

I am currently using a 6' X 6' X 8' ht walk-in closet, which has been occupied by over 1,000 *actual watts of CFL(24 bulbs, lol)mixed spectrum lighting.

I still have unused space in this grow room that I will be using, only heat is becoming an issue...as is the electric bill/having to run grow room off of 2 separate breakers etc.

So, thought it would be a good idea to try out LED panels. I plan on incorporating them into the existing CFL's, as I cannot afford to fully switch...plus I want to try them out before making full $$ commitment.

Would using these as wall covering so to speak be a waste of time?, and would using them in conjunction w/both 6500/2700K CFL's cause any problems?.

Thank you in advance for any input.

Probably won't do much. I have a 14w version which I bought for wheat grass and tried as side lighting. Too weak

I am using 4ft led tubes + re-wired shop lights + A19 (common household led replacements)

Come take a look

That's easy to solve, I have plenty of room to hang overhead and use CFL's for side lighting.

Nice work on that thread, I'll definitely be reading more over there as things progress.

Meanwhile, looking forward to trying a panel or 2 on some baby clones.

I have a couple of those, all red, that I did for the same reason and saw no impact. I have a dual spectrum 50 w of the same and have grown 12-12 under it for fun. I never tried it for supplemental though as i think my SGS160 will do me fine.
