LED of HPS with CMH bulb

So the last time I grew was when I was in school roughly 11-13 years ago. I used some CFLs in a closet and ended with one female out of two plants. I was new and inexperienced but enjoyed every minute of the process. I've acquired a few things over the years and decided it's time to grow my own again. I have CFLs still and a HPS ballast. I read up on CMH bulbs in the ballast I have and see that it will work and might be better since they burn with better spectrums and lower wattage!?!?. I want to keep my energy bill down though and minimize heat if possible. I'll be growing hydroponically to maximizing yield and nutrients. LEDs are another option but seem a bit expensive. I found some Cobb lights but know nothing about them. The lumens are high but not sure if they can be used for veg and flowering. If you have experience or advice, I would appreciate it. I'll try to post a pic of the ones I saw.

Thanks

Those are no good I tried them myself, if you are not looking to build a cob set up your self, look into one of the following; Tastyled, cobkits, northerngrowlights, pacificlightconcepts, johnsongrowlights, timbergrowlights. I know I'm forgetting some but that will get you started.

Thanks and not sure what goes into building a cob setup. I'm sure there is more info on the subject in the forum I can find.

Thanks
