What happens when you run a hlg-120-c700 B version driver if your only putting 36 - 72volts through it? (2xcobs)

As long as those cobs fall between the upper and lower ranges of that drivers voltage. And the total watts aren't exceeded on both the cobs and driver. All you'll get is normal operation. Otherwise. It may fail to operate. Or burn out possibly the whole lot.

take the number of volts you have attached (72) multiply by the available amps 0.700) and that is how many watts (50) you are drawing. You are drawing less than max watts is all. When you maximize volts you maximize watts for constant current. driver can provide 100w you are using half of driver is all.

The driver is good for 150.5 watts i believe
Am i not using 1/3rd of the wattage @ 0.700ma?
And the drivers voltage output is 107~215

I thought i was under the lower mark of voltage output? im only 72> when it says 107 is the lowest ? confused :/

My cobs are cxb2530 somewhere between 33~35v @ 0.700ma
They can handle 61watt each
