I've used a lot of different brand led lights and can honestly say that if you have true 3w chipsets in a variety of spectrum known to aid photosynthesis in veg and flower, that are pushed through the appropriate viewing angle for the wattage of the diode and know the correct wattage of the panel (output wattage not advertised wattage) it doesn't really matter what brand you're using as long as you're dedicating at least 130 plus watts of true 3w led per plant you'll be in good shape.

Yeah some are better than others but when you get down to brass tax if you follow the suggestions I listed above you'll be happy with your leds. Just research the hell out of any company you're looking at that should be re-iterated 30 million times in this thread. 30 minutes of research could save you a lot of heart ache in the future!
HOSS YOU ARE TALIKG BOLLOCKS HERE!!!!
YOU ARE BELIEVING WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO BELIEVE!!!!
GET A LIFE DUDE, OR GET INFORMED BEFORE YOU SPEAK UP!!!

YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT 3W AND 1W IS!!!???

1W ARE CLASSIFIED LIKE THAT BECAUSE THEY USED TO BE CAPABLE OF BEING RUN AT MAX 350mA
TAHN THE BETTER ONES CAME, CAPABLE OF BEING RUN AT 700mA
Than those ones called 3w capable of going up to 1000mA

Now, all the new generation chips can run up to 1000mA, APART FROM THE VERY CRAPPY ONES

so all your talk about "every lights that's got 3 watt chips and a lot of chips and wattage will be good" is just a very mediocre statement that disinforms and doesn't even reflect reality

Jubiare, which leds do you use?
I use a Magnum that is actually not too bad, but prices are crazy high there too.
Coverage is shit too.
It's kind of okay, but not because I bought it and overpaid for it, I am gonna be proud of my light.
I am actually selling it, getting a temporarely bigger one that I want to pay for what it really is...... and meanwhile starting making my own fixture :)

I've grown with several different models ranging from dual band 1w crap from China through full cree 3w chipsets, this was intended to be a buyers guide thread. I mentioned looking for quality brand diodes earlier in this thread. I've used 3w Epistar, Bridgelux, Orsam, & Cree diodes. That is what the earlier post was intended to suggest.

i lol'd thanks brent peluso your just made a great statement why noone should ever buy fero branded lights , when the sales manager doesnt have a clue god knows what the assembly line is i picture a humid enviroment of females under 25 dressed in white smocks in uniform rows in a country with bad air quality
Hot, sweaty, young females. You should make a commercial. Men who don't even garden would buy the lights!

Speaking from experience, ive owned quite a few led grow lights and this is my opinion. Dont want to be dissapointed, and you want the right light, the best light, the first time? The reviews are real, I know someone who posted one and they asked me to post one too after having my 200w diamond for a few months. And having personally owned several of their lights, I can say I've never seen anything on alibaba that I was certain was the exact same light as one of advanceds. Some very similar, but I'm sure there are major differences.

Oh well, I'm sorry then. What I meant is that every single review looks like a commercial speech. I mean when there are very good products on amazon, you can see a lot of good reviews but there is always one or two people that were disappointed. Here all the reviews are ultimate praise; looks weird, that's all. And the quantity of review is stunning while it seems that the LED community is still very small.

No worries patrik, just wanted to share my experiences. Thats not to say you cant find their lights on there, I just haven't come across anything on alibaba that leads me to believe all the internal components are the same. I was tempted a while back to purchase one from e.shine just to take the two apart and compare to make sure want paying extra for the same product, because that's the only way to know for sure.

I haven't seem where anyone shows the innards of their lights on Alibaba. The fact that you see identical cases, just different paint jobs leads me to believe 99% of LEDs sold are made in China. No finned heat sink, just a plate, components hot melt glued in place, cheap fans, cheap 3rd rate LEDs, you name it. Such low minimum order quantities anyone can start up a business selling lights. Warranty? Good luck shipping it to China and getting it repaired.
