LED actual watts

The more I look into supplementing HPS and/or MH with LED the more fascinating the idea becomes, but I see people throwing around terms like the "true watt" of an LED is so and so.

I'm looking to purchase 2x:

Would those actually be the equivalent of a 240 watt light or what would it actually translate to in "true watts" Thanks!!

Put this in the led section.

And NO! Those LEDs are not worth more than pocket change and they will not last a year statistically.

People get fantastic results with mars hydro panels, any particular reason you feel different? are those specific 240w panels garbage? thanks!

There is an amazing amount of information in the LED and other lighting section concerning just the things you are interested in. It may take some reading and asking of questions but trust me it is very much worth it. Look into DIY COBS you can get so much more for your money. It will all seem complicated at first but once you post your requirements there is a great bunch of folks that will walk you through it.
There has been a lot of cheeky marketing ploys used by a great many LED manufacturers in the past and misrepresenting the output of their fixture was one of the most abused.
Hop on over there and ask your questions you will not be disappointed.
