Just setup a 32x32x63 flower tent and was wondering how good of a setup it would be to mix a mars hydro 300w with a 315w lec light with the phillips mastercolor 3100k bulb. Any suggests would be helpful mantaining a temp of around mid 80's.

that 315 would more than cover the 32x32.. I had one in a 40x40 that covered corner to corner. All the Mars would do would be adding heat really imo. I used the same bulb but I think ppl have been talking big things about the 4k.. May b worth checking out. If you already have the mars you could use it as a veg lamp?

On a side note - I never had an actual Mars panel but I actually prefer my Mars Hydro tent over Secret Jardin fwiw.

Good luck!

i had 2 of the mars in a mars hydro tent (love the tents by the way) so i figured i could move one over to my flower room for a boost of red

I suppose it wouldn't hurt but the spectral output of the cmh bulb is what drew me to the lec in the first place. Im just not convinced whatever you gain would justify the added wattage/heat u feel me? If you decide to try it lmk how it turns out fr ya!

That 315 is great for that 32x32, extra is unnecessary. The 315 is recommended for a 36x36 so you're going to have the intensity and coverage without a doubt.

I say ditch the Mars.

I used Mars at first. Until they blew all the chipsets just after the warranty ran out. Every single light! I’ll never buy them again.
I now use platinum LED with much better results and lifespan. Twice outlived my crappy mars lights.

To answer your question tho, mixing lights is good, I use HPS and LED’s in the same room and it works great.

Just make sure you have enough plants to justify your space and electric useage versus your yield :)

Lol platinumled grabbed you by the balls eh? Sorry for your loss. I'd take a mars over one of their shitty insanely overpriced lights any day. Ill get the same yields but at least I dont have to spend 4 times as much.

Haha possibly! It was just my experience. I can only go on performance lifespan now , and seeing as I bought them all at the same time a few years back when I didn’t know if LED was worth it, I would sooner go another cheap crappy brand like platinum than mars, if had to. I’m saving fir a BML set up just now ;) I learned my lesson the hard way.
