Leaves & Trimmings

Hi
Do people trimm the leaves around the bud in the last few weeks for adding more light or what? What is the procedure for this does everyone do it? I thought the leaves is where the plant gets its nuts internally when lights out?
Thanks

from what ive read..... people leave all the leaves till the day of the harvest. they my trim up the lower portion to allow air flow and more light.

If there's a big arse leaf blocking a bud site, I try and BEND it out of the way. If there's no room to bend it, I pluck it off.

As for the leaves that are coming directly out of the buds, leave them. The trichromes on them will ripen even more as flower goes on, and making hash from them is best when they're left till harvest.

Ok so leave all the leaves on and tuck the one blocking the light ( iv ben doing just that)
the leaves on the bud dont trimm off until after air drying?
How come I found a plant outdoors last year and just about a week before havest mid October when i found it the grower had spent some time trimming all the leaves off around the bud but had only done about half the plant, how come?

I read in the March? issue of Hightimes that some growers trim all the leaves of the whole plant two days before harvest, because they believe the plant puts all its energy into the buds in the last to days or some shit like that... but um... yea crack isn't good for you, and thats it.

I have head that before too but have not read it on the forum, yeah cracks not good.

I will try them both cutting the leaves 2 days befoe the 48hr darkness then cut, the other iwill hold of until dry.

I also read that u could cut the tops off and let the bottm grow a bit bigger not sue about that 1

Yes that does work... I have done it before many times... But I read in ... you guessed it High Times that cutting the top off a plant to keep it bushy or to make it get to top colas is a bad idea... It stresses the plant, and can prolong the period until flowering by a week or more... If your indoor though its O.K. I guess because you controll that... very possible I'm wrong... might reduce your yeald though alot of argument over the topic on the web if you search

refering to cutting the top and letting the rest grow to bulk up, u said uv tried that
I was told give them 48hrs darkness before cutting, If I cut the tops and let the rest grow should I still try the 48hr darkness.
sorry typo error

I'v never heard of giving it 48 hours befor cutting the top off... just that some people like to give their plant 48 hours of dark before they harvest the smokalishis buds...
