I'm about through my first week of just pure watering preparing to harvest and my leaves are still super green and healthy...
is this a problem?

GREEN AND HEALTHY IS GOOD!!!
if you are good at this, your leaves WONT yellow in flower most of the time....
you can keep em green and perky until harvest.
GOOD JOB!!
you might see some yellowing, you might not...
if you dont...BE PROUD!!
if you do... still be proud!
if you made it to the last flush, you're home free!!
dry, cure, smoke! happy growing!

maybe the plant has a little to go, a final week of water may help. seems like the darker leaf harvests may need the extra cure time then, but not always

Depends on who you ask lol . The whole fade issue of senesence is preferred by some and not by others , no different than flush or not . It really is controversial and the science behind it all is lacking and it is all Theory at this time and personal preference .
I always allow my plants to fully develop and mature while feeding them as they require and demand at times , fading them out in my opinion is a waste as it tends to degrade the final weight of the harvest . Now dont get me wrong I do not overfeed and have no need to flush or deprive them of such as I simply adjust and allow them to finish accordingly . But again to each there own but I do not flush any annual plants as it is not needed or necessary ..
I highly encourage you to experiment and cross compare with all of the newer theories and methods as nine out of ten times it will be overrated nonsense and bullshit .

Fast, friendly feedback... I love this place!
id say maybe 1% (generous estimate) of my leaves are showing very slight yellowing and I only have one more week to go... Trichs are milky with 1-2 heads per scope shit being amber.
Due to being my first grow all I have to Base this plant on is what I read on the net and all I have read this far says that leaves will yellow and I started getting worried that none of mine are...

yeah, you said it yourself they look healthy and happy....so why worry? I've done it both ways and I get more yield and no other difference if I don't starve them at the end and make em pretty colors.

Here is a pic of what my fan leaves look like...
I just now cut off any leaf with a long stem.
During veg I super sog'd this plant so its a serious bush. I then opened it up by spreading all of the main heads apart to create a bowl type of effect. Due to the vigorous growth there was much vegetation which was keeping the inside "bowl" nugs from seeing much light / ripening. Some were still pale green in color to me indicating they needed some additional rays hence, my removal of the fan leaves that I just did for the dial week under the lights...

It varies from strain to strain imo. My Northern Skunk start to turn color around week 6, and my Cheesequake don't yellow at all (but do get some purple hue's).
I wouldn't sweat it. Chop those babies down if the trichs are where you want them!

Good point , as many variables come into play with strains and there demands as well as environments lol .. I have some heavy yielding girls in my harem and some of them will yellow up with just a few missed feedings in bloom , others like my Kush collection will stay green no matter as long as they have a light feeding all the time and it takes a long time to make them fade at all if possible lol

I have grown several different phenos of chem and I have always stripped fan leaves starting at the end of week 5 and every few days after that. So I do not honestly know how late or even when they typically start to cannibalize themselves. Your's look great and should not have any worries.

If you grow organically you most likely will go for the fade, if you grow with bottled nutes most don't go for the fade.
I roll organic and my soil naturally allows them to fade out and use up all of the nutrients in the leaves as things wind down but it's really personal test and trial and then preference based off of those results. Different strokes for different folks.

you're just ripping off the solar panels that produce light energy for your plant.
The fewer leaves you have....the slower production is....

What if you grow organic AND use bottled nutes?
mine fade a little near the end and usually only on the bottom...
but I try to avoid fade...
on the other hand... a little fade makes sense too...
if you flush your plant and ready it for harvest...it's going to be slurping the last bit off whatever it can and fade out when exhausted...
I find myself wondering now if THIS is the reason I have slightly more chlorophyll smell when I harvest....
I have one WhWidow close to harvest... maybe I'll flush her and wait for her to show me she's done?
