leaves curling up... need help

so my leaves are growing deformed. most of them curl up some only have three points as you can see in the picture

i water it once every 3-4 days and once a week i give it nutes that are 20-20-18 but very diluted. its about 3-4 weeks old. am i missing something?
 
im using MH from my old fish tank... its a 250W light. i believe its 6000k or 8000k. its pretty blue. the light sits about 2-2 1/2 feet from the top of the plant. its not that hot but i dont have a fan on it.
 
honestly, that plant doesn't look that bad. it might be slow growth, but to me, that looks normal. plants will grow out their leaves until they reach 7 or 10 fans. Are you sure there's something wrong?

its not bad no, but that curling could be an issue that could get worse.. no?
 
do you have a ppm meter? You might be able to tweak your fertilizer for optimal growth, but otherwise I think you're just gonna need longer time to veg than normally. You're talking about the new growth right? Are the leaves yellowing or crisping? Or turning darker green
 
i dont have ppm meter. im just using some organic potting soil. and yes the new growth is curling. before i had it too close to the light so the leaves at the bottem are a bit yellow n crisping on the tips BUT since i moved it farther the new growth isn't yellow...
 
when you say you had it took close to the light, how close would that be? with a 250 w light and a small fan trained on the plants you could have it at 18", without a fan you could still do 24". How tall are they? How many sets of leaves?
 
all i can tell you is my plants seem to increase a set of fans every node until it reaches 7 fans. Mine went 3, 5, and 7 with leaves growing out the top like that Your grow looks a lot like mine.
