GROWING LOCATION: INDOOR
WATERING SCHEDULE: ONCE A DAY
GROWING SPECTRUM: VIPARSPECTRA Reflector-Series V600 600W LED Grow Light Full Spectrum for Indoor Plants Veg and Flower. Light is about 19 inches away from plant!
PLANT HEIGHT: About five to six inches
TEMPERATURE: 79 degrees

Hello everyone! To start of with I am completely new to growing marijuana! Also, I am new to this site :)

This said, I noticed that my plant is slowly starting to discolor, which I am not too happy about :(

I USED Fox Farm Liquid Nutrient - The 6-4-4 bottle once (because overdoing it is a bad idea I read) I noticed that one of the two plants needed more nitrogen because the bottom leaves were turning yellow... I am not sure if the plant needs more fertilizer or if I am doing something wrong.

I have noticed that growing marijuana is not as easy as it looks. Any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

What kind of medium are you in that your watering everyday? Most coco you don’t even need to water that often

Drought to the point of drooping can cause that kind of look on leaf but is usually followed by the same yellowing becoming dead and cracking. Your guys' photos look like variegation to me which might be expressing itself as result of some stress but often it's just a part of the plant's genetics.

"Variation in leaf color arises because of a lack of the green pigment chlorophyll in some of the plant cells. It isn't an adaptation to the environment, but instead it is usually the result of a cell mutation, and can be inherited (genetic) or occur randomly (chimeric)."

That’s what I’m thinking too but not sure. I haven’t given them much nuets. Maybe one feeding at 1/4 and one at 1/2 strength. The rest has just been water.

I don't believe this is a case of variegation. You would see this much more pronounced, especially in the leaves receiving direct light. And while I won't say cannabis doesn't come in a variegated form; I've never seen it.

If you're in coco, though it doesn't appear you are; you should be trying to water / feed every day. Letting coco dry out is going to cause you all kinds of issues. Lastly, check for pests under your leaves.

You didn’t specify on your nutes what type of water you are using and whether you are giving the plant any CalMag with your feedings? (Or does your Fox Farm provide calcium and magnesium). Are you checking the ph of your solution when feeding?

I use Regular faucet water. What am I supposed to use? How do I test the water ph?

Do you not have a Ph meter?
Its an essential piece of kit for a new grower.
Something like this - https://www.amazon.com/HM-Digital-HydroTester-Resolution-Accuracy/dp/B0096N8OWI is pretty sturdy, and will last you if you look after it- the cheaper ones or the drop kits are not worth wrecking your brain with.

Re: - types of water, you can have regular tap water, as you use , Reverse Osmosis, or distilled.
Its all down to the strenght of the water solution, i.e.- how much stuff is dissolved in it. Your tap (faucet) water could have up to 400ppms* , before you even add ferts . That's why I use Reverse Osmosis, as it has hardly anything dissolved in there (18ppm) *ppm- parts per million

Some use rainwater or Reverse Osmosis water, so I thought I’d ask. I recall having similar looking leaves before I started adding Cal Mag to my tap water. If you were using rainwater you would definitely need Cal Mag.

Mixing up your nutes and and adjusting the ph to around 6.5 too made a huge improvement when I first started.

Well put. Because of RIU, I’m actually flowing (week 3). Twalte is on point. Use distilled water and add cal mag. Ph to 6.3-6.5, no worries!
