Leaves are turning grey and wilting!

I think it may be root problems. It started on the very bottom and is now working it's way up to the top of my plants. It's not just the leaves either that are effect it's also whole shoots. Smaller shoots that have grown off the stalk will wither and die. At first I thought it was ph lock out due to salt build up so I flushed with 10 gallon each. They are in 5 gallon buckets( I use coco no run off or very little) but now I think it may be root rot or something else. I had a gnat problem but that is under control now. I have 2 other ladies that are just fine in the same mix with the same nutes. I have bennies in my medium but if I have to use hydrogen peroxide to clean with I will. I just recently ran out of my hygrozyme and they weren't getting this you think this could be why? Any info or ideas on how to fix this cause with in a week I'm sure the whole plant will wilt and die.

First 3 is my Thai the one I'm really worried about. She Lollipopped her self the last 6 inches and the hps ones are my northern lights it's bushy so not to worried it will die right off

i can't tell, in one of the pics it looks a lil grey @ the stem, is there any grey mold on the stems? either that or it looks like it could be temperature damage, did it get hot in there? Temp damage doesn't affect stems though, just the leaves. if it's whole stems i'd say you may have a mold problem, and the worst kind, look carefully for any grey puffs of mold.
if you do, it's really hard to eradicate it without losing the stem, I use a product called "clean leaf" it's for roses but a lil of the stuff on a sock or a rag can clean away the mold with just natural citrus oils, just be gentle when you clean the mold off. Sometimes you can salvage the plant, as long as the mold isn't deep past the skin/bark of the plant.
I hope it's not grey mold.

No no mold on the stem or the medium. The rest of the plant is perfectly healthy even growing new shit everyday.

Looks a bit like P deficiency.

What nutes are you using?

IMO coco should be watered until you get 20% runoff. As it has a tendency to get salt build up.

What strength nutrient were you feeding?

It's phosphorous def from high ph I know it is. I have never had to fix my ph but since I have had to use fox farms nutes everything's going pear shaped. I used to use flora nova one part nutes and never had a problem! I get more tomorrow thank goodness! What ph range should it be for coco coir?

Your right. They are in there first week of flower so I give 1/2 grm bloom blood, 1/2 tsp of potash,1/2 tsp ff grow, 1/2 tbs molasses, 1/2 tsp bud candy. They get watered and feed every day and I just flushed last night. I should have ph the run off then but I wasn't thinking. I usually do run off but I can't drag the plants back and forth. They do have an extra bucket that they sit in and there's always water in it so I'm sure there some run off. I have never had to adjust ph how would I do this?

Ph seems to be ok to me . It dosent go below 6.8 but I can estimate it to be about 5.8-6.2
What do u think ? I know it's not from me not giving enough p!

Bump please I know this is dea boring ? But I really don't know what to do! It just takes a second to respond. I know it p deff but how to fix it. My bloom blood is a 0-39-25 per 1/2 grm they get this every day plus 1 1/2 tsp ff grow. Ph say it's ok! Uhhhh!

The usual answer is to flush with a well balanced nutrient feed at pH 5.8.



Don't try to correct too much.

You've just flushed. Have you fed them yet after flushing?

No I haven't feed them yet I'm gonna do one more flush and then feed them. I get my new nutes today. The only difference this time was the fox farm nute alone I usually use them in conjunction with my flora nova nute but ran out. Do u think this could have cause my ph problem? I repotted afew babies in ffof mixed wit perlite and coco do u think I ll have a ph problem with them as well?

It could be a P issue due to that.


I doubt you'll have issues with any repotted to a mixture of soil and coco.

Also FYI if you flush coco you must always use a weaker nute mix after to feed the coco.

Coco really does not like plain water.

The ideal rootzone EC is around 1.3.

The only true way to test this EC is by using 1:1.5 extraction method.

DO NOT JACK THAT PLANT WITH THE 0-39-25 or you will open a whole new can of trouble!!!!! To much P !!!! (and K).

You washed,,,good! Your getting your "normal nutrient" back online. Good, run with that and don't look back.....keep an eye on the salt build ups,,,,That was your "lock".

BTW,,,The plant in pic 2 (In the Solo cup) is needing N,,,,start feeding it now!

The one in the solo cup was just given to me And supper root bound. I repotted it and it's getting greener.

The bloom blood has had no ill effect on my plants and I have used it for a few grows now.
The two that are being affected have only been fed the bloom blood a few time and they were showing signs before they got the flip. Thes two bitches are being fed 1/2 grm of it 2X a day and they are thriving! I'm pretty sure it was probably salt build up! Thanks for the replies guy!
