Hey guys since last week was having trouble with seeslings.
I started noticing flaring and slight fading, was told it was some deficiency and they wanted some food.slightly upped there nutes.and nothing special yet. Some leaves seem to be fading to light green and yellow brownish spots in some edges. :s please help guys. The roots are not showing yet through the pots either. Just decided to turn the lights off for a little to see if that hopefully it does some good.
Here are some recent pics. Please help guys :(

(Theres a previous thread i posted with earlier pictures and info on some of the recent problems beforehand.)

Do you have drainage holes in those cups? Looks like the big one is ready for a new home.

They have an "overwatered" look that suggests the roots aren't being properly aerated. What nutrients are you using? cn

I just lowered my water level for some reason.instict i guess.
The leaves seem to be flaring out a little bit today. :( colour is a bit more faded yesterday i upped the nutes .she was showin signs of nitrogen deficiency. Dsnt look any better. :( they arent growing :(

Im feeding them per 940ml water
1.5g calcium nitrate
.5 potassium nitrate
.1 sulfate of potash
.6 magnesium sulfate
And a drop of this aquarium dinosaur pee beneficial micro.boron zinc etc.

I have successfully done this three times before. I dnt know what im doing wrong. :(

Your nutes are way, wwaayy strong for a small plant like that (in my opinion). What are your ppm? You've got probable lockout and possible pH issues. There's no phosphate in there to buffer your mix, either.

I see three issues.
1) No iron at all. Plants need iron. And manganese as well as the classic micros.
2) No phosphorus as nutrient and buffer. No buffers at all.
3) Too high an ionic strength, pending a ppm/ec reading. Dilute with RO by a factor of 3 until signs of recovery, then dilute by 2.

That, and that "overwatered" look. Is this a familiar strain, or something new? RO water, or tap? cn

I'd guess you're drowning the roots with "hot" water, how strong air pump do you have? was the water higher than the bottom of your net pots?

I said i added my micro nutes. Its in the aquarium fert dinosaur pee! It contains np.magnesium, iron, molybdenum, magnese, boron zinc and copper.
My ph down consists on mono phosphates. Which buffer my ph to around 5.5 - 5.8
Thought u only meant the general foods.

The solution was quarter strength first and week later started faded light green to yellow.then brown spots and slowly dying. :s
So i upped my solution to half strength. Bit better for couple days and fading again so went higher.. now im here.
Dunno what to do?. Empty ress change solution.dunno what strength. :( this use to work fine. :(

Yer it was a little because it wasnt wicking properly.
I dropped the water level just bellow thismorning. I have 3 pumps running with 3 stones

agree with that over-watered look. those plants are severely stunted.

Not here to help much, but you didn't answer, do you use tap water or RO/distilled?

I tried to solve a
N deficiency few days ago by upping the nutes. People are telling me its not that now.others say lockout.Il go with the lockout and n deficiency. I lowered my water level earlier and weakened the solution because others scared me about the nutes. :s these have been through a shit load of res changes in the past week! :S
Im stressing heaps and so confused. Not sure what to do about the rez solution now.ppl confusing me heaps.
Appreciate the help dude.

Do i mix a new batch of nutes up and restart? Full strength ,half??
Maybe just water..
Or leave it as is.
Are they going to die? :(
Please help

The deficiency is caused by something else so feeding it more won't help until you sort the problem. I'd use a weak nutrient solution, don't have the water levels too high, check for light leaks in your root zone and keep an eye on your PH. They might not bounce back straight away but if you are getting the problem sorted you should see improvements within a few days. Keep trying and you can save them for sure.

Today the seem to be showing signs of something different aswell.not sure what.leaves are flaring at tips abit more colour is more deficient.ph is 5.5 5.6
:s
