Do all the trimings leaves etc have to be dried as well before you can make hash? or can it be done once you cut the plant down?

I harvested yesterday and made some pretty good hash with all of the fresh trimmings. I didn't get a whole lot tho, I only harvested one plant and I think my straining method sucked. I got like maybe 2 grams of hash. It got me lifted tho.

I dont have anything ready to make hash..I am trying to find a good cheap automatic one...I am not going to make a lot just a little..I remember that I saw one on the net a couple years back...put cuttings in the center closed it and it turned and turned and turned...can someone help
