Posting from phone.. sorry if im brief. Brought this nl5 in from another veg room.. shes the bihgest in my group and in wetter soil. Everytging is very healthy so i was suprised to see this. Last watering i gave a light nute feeding and she probably didnt need food nor water so its either lockout or overwatering but it looks strikingly like a deficiency. All of her neighbors are kushes... younger and faster draining.. all are growing fast under 600w mh. Upper leaves on nl5 are twisting and curling down a bit with some yellowing on the edges. Pics on next post. The nutes were lightweight for starts so it could be under but it was happy last week. I gave it Canna start b-1 and aurora amino all dosed for small vegetating plants and all kushes are killing it right now. Nl5 is growing fast but i want to keep her cherry. Please help.

OK well I went ahead and scooped up a few samples of soil around the plant and added it to a 16oz cup (to half full) added distilled water to 3/4 full total volume. It wasn't going to settle out any time so I squeezed the effluent through some paper towels into a mason jar. Calibrated the pH pen and tested the effluent at pH 4.6!

Then I went and tested all of the goofy ass solutions. Canna start diluted out (as per directions, as added) ran a pH of 3.1. With a "light" solution like this at 1.0 microsiemens i'm suprised it requires that much H+ ion to stabilize it! The way I calculate it 1.0 microsiemens = 0.64ppm = 0.064 mol/L (about) and pH=4.6 so H+ = antilog(-4.6) = 10^-4.6 = 0.000025 mol/l H+. That's about 0.4% hydrogen ion.

Now what the hell takes that much acid to stabilize? There is shit all over the bottle explicitly stating to SHAKE IT UP!! but nothing is settled. I'd say that there is some seriously insoluble shit in there.

So I went ahead and took 1mL of canna start and added dropwise .1M KOH ("Get Up" solution to weed growers). A white cloudy precipitate formed which bore a striking resemblance to a silver halide solid. I'm letting it settle out but I am betting AgCl because Canna probably wanted to stuff other shit in there so there's that. So I searched Ag+ in some newer scientific journals (canna start is relatively new) and it's no surprise that Ag+ downregulates ethylene biosynthesis. Ethylene is a central regulator for shittons of plant functions- and the Ag+/Ethylene relationship isn't entirely clear to me. Whatever eh?

Anyways anybody know of another commercial Ag+ product? I'm not sure it's silver in there but I'm pretty fuckin' sure. Nonetheless Canna should be pretty explicit to tell you to DILUTE THEN pH or else... you will jack your plant up. Kindof looks to me like about 0.001 moles/liter or so which is not too expensive to be commercial.

Hopefully someone read this fuckin post. Probably learn somethin.
