Well after waiting awhile my 4 auto fems, & 2reg. fems turned out to be only 1 auto fem. with lots of dismay no thanks to the single seed co.. Any way, I have lots of large leaves that are blocking all of the new growth & what appears to actually be flowering & my question is can I saftly cut or pinch off the larger lower leaves or any large leaves that appear to serve no purpose other than providing extra feeding sources for the plant with out sending the plant into shock or damaging it ???
Thank you for your feedback & help !!!:leaf::leaf:

Pics not working for me.

However, this is a pretty debated subject around these parts but personally I try to bend anything blocking a top and if it still is giving me trouble it gets cut.

But the answer to this question is always no. Never cut healthy leaves from the plant it will only cause stress and stunt the growth while it heals. In my experience its better to bend/fold the leaves under the new growth. The best thing you can do is top the plants to give the lower branches more light.

I agree with majek, some people are keen on getting rid of 'excess' foliage leaves, but I'm not down with that either. Rather than remove them, I much prefer tying them gently aside, spreading their legs so to speak so more light/air can get in between. Its a much gentler option, than slicing and dicing, and won't affect the plants energy factory.

Ok, thanks for the no touch advice, now you mentioned topping ??? I s this cutting off the top of the plant ???

also .. I read some wher that light actualy can travel through the leaves .. well cept green witch it dont realy use ..

Im not 110% sure about this .. just read one pages about it at some randome place .. will look more in to it tho as it seems logical .. and the arguments seems fair ..

but if it is right .. the light we cant see (red/blue aso) can pass through the leaves so the under grow actualy get more light then we think as we only see the shadows and cant see the light waves that pass ..

did take up some of the light .. plus the under growth is also father away ... of course .. but it do get more light then you think/can see ..
