Yes, but your too late for a dispensary now. Maybe in a couple of years, most likely 3-4. Maine DHHS will be accepting packages until the middle of June, they will then pick one for each area, eight total. If you do not have a package together that you have been working on for months, than you are literally 6-8 months away from being ready to even submit a package.

There are 50-60 groups that are submitting packages, some like Berkley Patients Group are submitting for all eight. They are not the only one's submitting for multiple dispensary licenses. If you need legal advice contact the lawyer below. I know he has looked at this for another group and has a few connections in Augusta.

You do realize that your finances will be exaimined closely, you better have a few hundred thousand hanging around because it gets expensive very quickly. Also, keep in mind there are fewer than 400 patients in the state, some of the dispensaries if they open will not be in business 2 years from now. There are only two prescribing physicians in Maine right now, neither is accepting new patients. Dr. Sulak has made the most recommendations (200+) and is booked until Feb 2011 with another 100 patients on a waiting list for appointments. He has said bluntly that he can only see so many patients and that other doctor's need to step forward. Good luck!

F*** Berkley Patients Group! Stay on the West Coast!!!!
there are worse groups than bpg... bjeminryo, they do good work, are reasonably priced and have quality... its not as if they are shady or unprofessional... they are among the best in cali... i've missed their quality and service since i've moved back here... no offense, but what do you have against them? do you not like a free massage or screened and tested edibles and buds???

No not at all. I don't have a problem with them, I have a problem with the state of Maine not giving the business to their own.

in cali, they have free massages, aromatherapy, classes in growing, every damn thing... it is a truly compassionate place run by business minded caregivers... it puts a lot of the bodega style dispensaries to shame out there (especially in the la area)... it is a business, but they truly make you feel wanted and cared for... it is less about weed, and more about caring and giving... as i said there are worse people to give a license to... go in after they have gotten their footing (a month or two) i totally hate it when people bag on a place that just opened, it takes time to figure out how everything needs to be in order to run smoothly... i think you will really be impressed... i know i can't wait to see it... (full disclosure; i am in no way, shape or form associated with them, though i was a patient in cali for some time. i don't work for them, nor will i, however i am impressed not only with their professionalism but also their compassion)...
