latest time to plant

when would u say the latest tiem to plant be if i live in new jersey. i could plant now but im going away for 2 or 3 weeks in july and i dont want to leave my plants alone for that long. so do u think i could plant in the begging of august?

you can plant whenever, its just the plants wont be as mature when fall comes. This is when outdoor plants will start to flower becuase of the shorter days. You can plant in august, but they wont be quite as mature as someone who plants in may. But they will be fine though, so if thats your only choice go for it, plant a bunch of them, so you get alot of small plants.."sea of green" Goodluck, grow on : )
