Late season problems - browning branches - heavy bud knockdowns

Well, I didn't expect to run into these problems late in the season but I did, I've got 3 Early Skunks planted in a briar patch (black wild raspberries) that are showing some disturbing deficiencies, browning at the stalk and wilting?! What have I done!? We had a dry spell in August and I was away but since then I have watered and the local vegetation is still lush, I have this problem on 2 out of these 3 plants, used 20-20-20 during veg (not often) and now 5-9-5 for flowering in small doses, I can afford to lose a branch here and there but not a plant! Any comments are welcome!

I have other Early Skunks in another spot that are flourishing, also my Guerillas Gusto are thriving even though I treated them like shit the whole summer, 2 of them fell down last week so I'll just let them finish budding lying down, should have staked!

Will the 3 damaged Skunks survive?! Or is the stalk damaged?

If it's a deficiency pics will help identify it, otherwise look through the nutrient deficiency post.

Sorry about that, couldn't upload yesterday!

Stake the plants you have up or they will mold for sure on the ground like that. Tie them up or stake them.

About the brown stems? I would say it looks like a bore worm maybe. They bore there way up the stems like that. It's just a sugestion more than a quess I quess. Also look into to root rot. If not that I will leave this one to the experts.

Bump - Has anyone else had this problem? I saw Brad1234's post showing his apparent budrot/worm/infestation heat or whatever but it looks like I've got stemrot! I'm keepin' optimistic and hope on only losing a branch here and there, although the browning on a stem near the base seems extensive, it's so hard, like bamboo, really woody, plants get so stiff near the end, hope only 1/3 is damaged on that it stops!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)...,

I would start at digging down in your soil a way. Look and see if your roots are white or brown in color. If Brown you got some root rot.

Not sure of the fix for I never had the problem.

I have a big one doing this, I assumed it was from the heat and the onset of flowering. It's been a hot year in my little corner of Florida. It's only on the bottom of the plant from crappy branches I wouldn't get quality nugs from anyway so I'm not worrying. The four man colas are thickening up every day and everything else is lush green.

i have the same problem. I was growing outdoors durind summer and took my plants to indoor to flower, but noticed some parts getting brown. kinda looks like fungus too at some parts. I cut off one branch but it still is developing. What should I do ? Will post pics as soon as possible
