ive been flowering 3 plants for around 62 days now. the buds are getting pretty big but i switched the nutes out last week in order to flush and added plain water and sweet for the flush. now i see that the buds are still swelling and getting fatter and the lower-budsites still have some growing to do. i figure i have 3 things i can do...

1. nothing
2. switch out water and add more bloom nutes.
3. cut main colas and let the lower-budsites grow?

Jerkin,

At 62 days, what do the trichomes look like? If the buds are still growing and thickening, and the trichomes are not where you would like them to be, then by all means feed them and let them grow until you like where they are at. What strain are you dealing with? Reason I ask, sometimes plants like my Alaskan Ice, it wasn't ready until 90 days. So many times, people set a "date" to harvest. I don't agree with this. Some people like their trichomes hazy and some like them clear. But, to answer your question, I would start feeding them again, watch the trichomes to your satisfaction, once they reach that point, then flush with clean water. I only flush 3 to 4 days. I have never had an issue with flavor, I vaporize, and I definetely would taste it there. Hope this helps!!

I wouldn't cut anything that is still growing. How long ago did you flush? If a week or 10 days after flush they are still growing, I would seriously consider going back to nutes.

Like Longhorn said, the best way to determine peak THC content is to look at the trichomes (tiny crystals on the buds). They start off clear then turn milky white and finally change to amber. You should harvest when most trichomes are milky and some are just turning amber. This is the point of highest THC %. Check that out, and if they are still clear, I would go back on nutes for a little bit and when most are cloudy then flush for 3-7 days. Also, you can definitely harvest buds at different times because the lower ones will take longer to develop fully. Harvest each bud based on trichome color and all should turn out to be awesome quality. Good luck!
