Hello everybody I have been reading this forum for a while now and have recently become a Michigan 
patient 
. Now that I am finally able to grow my own weed (even though its only 12 plants) legally I figured if I am going to do this I am gonna do it big because thats just the type of person I am... Now some people have called me crazy so far but I say its the only way... anyways so far I have spent $4000 on this whole extravaganza lol my list of equipment is as fallows with still more to come...
1 Quantum 1000w digital ballast
1 1000w eye hortilux hps bulb
1 6" air cooled hood
1 6" vortex 449 cfm fan for the aircooled hood
1 8" vortex 747 cfm fan for flower room exhaust
4 Quantum infinite breeze osc fans that move in a w pattern
1 floralux 400w m/h bulb/ballast/hood combo
2 (soon to be 2 more) active aqua 45l/min air pumps
1 sentinel chhc-4 enviro controller
1 10x100 roll of poly/panda film
1 active air co2 reg/solenoid combo for rooms over 10x10
1 20lb co2 tank
1 lightrail3 3.5 intelli 6' 9rpm light mover
12 5 gal buckets (black)
12 5 gal lids with built in 6" netpots
1 eliminator r/o unit 100 gpd
1 8" carbon fiber filter (kind of looks like an air filter for turbocharger)
1 t8 fluro fixture
the rest is all little shit like main power house, breakers, romex, germination station, ph/ec/tds meter, air stones, air lines ect.
Ok I just made that list off the top of my head there could be more down there I forgot about (my whole basement is full of boxes lol) but I think thats about it so now that that is out of the way lets get to the plan for all this...
The one room thats already in the basement is gonna be converted to 2 or 3 rooms and a working area... I am going to start on the flowering room... the plan for the flowering room goes as fallows:
Size is gonna be 12lx7hx6w adjustable. By adjustable I am going to make a moving wall that is gonna be inside of the room that will shorten or lengthen the room, I will use to butt up to the plants or move away as necessary reason for this is I am only going to be flowering 6 plants at a time but I also plan on being a caregiver for 2 more people in the future so I am going to need that 12' (4x4) per 1000w light and each 1000 is gonna be on 6 plants but until then my 1000w for my 6 needs the 4x4 foot print so I am going to have the moving wall set at 4x6 (4x4 for the plants and a one foot walkway on each side) I also plan on using 3' of my light mover rail to move in this 4x6 area. The chhc-4 is going to be running this room since this is the room thats going to be getting the co2 enrichment. I have a space heater and humidifier, I also have 3 spare window a/c units laying around that I can use if necessary and I plan on buying a small dehumidifier for this room. It will get 2 of the infinite breeze fans plus one of those plastic double fans that goes in windows for air intake that will run every time the exhaust runs.
The veg room:
Is going to be approx 12x6 also or maybe even 10x6 I am not sure yet how big I wanna make this room exactly but I do know I want to get it its own exhaust fan, double fan for air intake like the flowering room and humidifier, de-humidifier, space heater and at least 1 or 2 of the infinite breeze fans... It will house the 400w m/h and t8 for my little clones and will also have a moving wall for now...I also would like to figure out a way to feed some co2 enriched flowering room air into the veg room maybe by via a pvc and small computer fan or something... I will be vegging 6 plants per person in here when the time comes but for now just my 6.
The working room:
This is going to be the room you walk into when you open the door and also the room that is going to store all ballasts, air pumps, co2 tank and things of that nature... also this is gonna be the room in which the veg and flower room pull their air from I am planning on making a vent in one of the house walls (drywall) for air intake which will of course be filtered so I can pull in 58 to 60 degree treated basement air... I am a HVAC tech by day so believe me I will rig up something lol.... Now you might be wondering about a momma room or a drying room and the answer to that question is well atleast regarding the momma I was thinking about making a small room in the vegging room for a momma plant (the 3rd room) maybe like 2x6 or something but there is a problem here... if I do that then I only have 11 plants to work with and thats no good so my plan is to keep the momma somewhere else that nobody knows about and being that I don't trust the police the drying and curing process will take place in another house too when the time comes...
My method of growing is going to be dwc buckets with 1 air pump per 3 buckets and one big disc air stone per bucket. I am planning to use hydroton as my medium and botanicare pure blend pro for my nutes along with cal-mag, sweet raw or bat guano, hydroplex, liquid karma, silica blast, h2o2... I will be I plan on getting 6 more buckets so I can premake my nute solution a day before my scheduled bucket changes to make my life easier and just do a quick swap then do the other 6 with those buckets the next day or something... Both the veg and flowering rooms will be light and air tight and will be running at optimum temps and r/h levels... now here are my questions and or ideas....
Light mover or no light mover? I know people don't like light movers but I am only going to be using a 3' rail in a 4x6 area so I am not using it to take the place of another light... just to get the light closer to the plants and help the coverage a little... feedback wanted on this one!
Separate exhaust for veg and flower room or passive exhaust from both rooms into a separate exhaust room and just use the 8" to exhaust both rooms through the one room or a 8" T with one side in the flower room and the other in the veg room? I personally like the T idea but that means my veg room will only get exhausted when the flower room does and will not be as precision at least in my eyes... tell me what you think...
Supercropping/Topping/LST or FIM/Supercropping/LST? What works the best?
And my biggest question should I just do 6 veg and then flower and harvest 6 at the same time or should I do a staggered cycle where I introduce a new plant every week and end up harvesting one plant per 2 weeks or whatever the cycle is? this is the one thats racking my brain right now please leave feed back on this one also...
Any other input is wanted please let me know whats on your mind! Thanks in advance.
