i fallowed the pf tek exactly to the t and after a couple days in the incubator i took them out for a look and i noticed somthing moving inside the jars and they are like clear translucent larva of some kind never seen this kinda shit before anyone know why or how they got in there man some insight would be greatly appreciated

sounds like an insect laid some eggs in your substrate and now they've hatched you've got some larvae's in there.. i agree, toss it, start over from scratch, make sure you sterlize with a pressure cooker.. :D

Fungus gnats, and mites love this stuff. It is hard to imagine that your grow didn't contaminate before it was infested with larve. Relax, the flies or the larva will contaminate your grow in short order.

No, as was said, you didn't follow the tek no matter which one it was. Could be you let something into your jar.

I agree with canndo and the others. Toss em unless you want to cultivate some nastys. But then again. Tiny itchy minions living in your crib may be beneficial?

yeah i tossed them out and yeah i did use a pressure cooker it was on the stove for about 90 minutes easily im thinking maybe because i used tap water somthing could have gotten in through the tap water idk but i threw them out and started a new batch with distilled water this time

Bro, when you use the pressure cooker, make sure your lid is on and it builds pressure to 15 PSI

I'm only in the middle of my first round, and I'm astounded this happened o.o

Out of curiosity has anyone ever let them go with the larva in it? Assuming there was no other contamination the mushrooms should still be good?

They are kind of like the worm in a tequilla bottle. Make you trip balls if you can eat enough of them.

My dad and I would forage for mushrooms. many had "wormy" stems from probable fly larvae. That's all these are ... teenytiny shrimp. Bonus protein. cn

You can be sure that 240 degrees for 90 minutes would have killed all the bacteria and spores inhabiting the larva so they will be sterile bugs.

Bwahahaha.

haha yeah im sure the lid was on all the way its one of those lids that you have to turn to lock in plus it had a lock on top of it but idk man i just tossed them and started again
