Large to some is tiny to others. Even a plant count would give us more of an idea to help. What is your soil like? Are you planting in the ground or are you using large smart pots?

How much do you wanna end up with if everything goes right? If you have unlimited space outdoors and aren't worried about being caught, you could grow some serious monsters and not need a lot of plants?

Have you grown before?

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to one of those last questions.

Im going to be honest for your sake so do not be offended please.
Im trying to give you what you need not what you want.

Here is my advice
Wait a long while before you try this.
Start reading and watching videos on growing.

My reason is the fact that you were able to ask that question while offering no facts that would help answer it.

That is my clue that at present you don't even know what questions to ask.

You could very easily find yourself wasting time and money or getting taken advantage of by someone who knows just enough to screw you.

Good luck.

You are going to go down. Fucking Texas doesn't mess around. A good friend just got off paper there for growing and it was a blast of shit.

i was asking a general question, and yes i do have a lot to learn.

i was planning on several small plants (2-3ft) i’m wondering how many plants that size would total up to about a pound more or less. my idea to take advantage of small plants is to get a strain with very dense and short buds. i was thinking outside grow but... that might be too risky where i am.

Outdoors you'd only need 6 to 8 plants at 3ft tall to pull that. However outdoors you'll wanna start later than most people to end up with 3ft tall plants. If you've never grown before I'd suggest you do a few in soil outdoors to learn hands on.

If you are now talking indoor.
I think a good goal for you would be a lb in a 4x4 area.
You can do better but you have to find the right strain and get your grow right.

You can also do a sea of green
Or a screen of green.

If you don't know what they are look them up

But I have gotten well over a lb in a 4x4 space with just a standard grow using hid lighting (with high ceiling)

I have done the same with a scrog as I have with large indoor plants.

Just figure out where you will grow.
Then you can let that guide your decision based on size
