Landslide

So i went to bed at 5:30 this morning, and i checked on my landslide plants, with no germination. at this point, it has been 7 days of germination. Its now 9:48, and i woke up not to long ago. I have 10 seeds, but only using 4 at the moment. I have 2 sprouted, and possibly waiting on the other 2.

Heres the thing about my setup. Its a very small growing case. It has been used before, and worked pretty good. I have an old school Dell server, and i converted that into a grow box. Im not sure on the dimensions, but i think its like 8" wide, 24" deep and 36" tall.
At the moment im only using one Cfl, 2700k (23/26 watt - to lazy to look) but i have 3 2700k, and 3 6500k bulbs that get packed into this case. Im figuring about 6k in lumens, which makes for some decent bud. Heat is an issue but not in the way you think.
With all 6 bulbs on, the case is only 80* degrees (f). With only the one (for germination) its ~70 during the day. I have 3 fans - one on intake, one on my homemade charcoal filter, one for intake and one to move air around - all old pc fans rigged up to a 12v adapter (fans are .19amps (push) .25 amps (free standing), .19 amps (pull)). My starting pots are 64 oz containers.

Oy, so i guess this thread is useless without pictures - so I'll go take some, and then I'll post them.

(and no i have NO idea what Landslide is. I know its a 60/40 indica/sativa blend. I got it from dr chronic with my lowrydr #2 for free, and im not gonna let them go to waste, so yeah)

those dell servers are decent size. should make a nice little stealth box.
that was my original plan for a stealth op, then i decided to make a 2x2x2 'tv stand' hehe. i think i might use the PC case i set up for clone,veg after i get something goin in the box i built..

sounds good though, hope it works out.

Heres my stealth grow box. its no louder than a normal pc, yet at first glance you would never think twice about it.

I think the case would make an awesome clone box. I may use it as just that once this grow is done. you would be surprised what can be done in a case though.

And heres the little girls.....i hope lol
for the soil, im using the same method as last time. Its 45% maricle grow bloom soil, 10% sand, 35% pete moss, and 10% soil from the good outdoor soil (baked, then frozen - and cooked soil smells horrible...). This way the "soil" has excellent water retention, but yet can still breath and grow great.

Update:
I transplanted one of the babys into another pot, and centered the other one.
I added 3 lights, gave them soda can reflectors (2 lights per plant), used a smaller reflector and made another one out of a plastic cup. In one of the pics you can see the only 2 spots were light leaks through (top corners of the case were the case slides into the plastic front panel). So far looking pretty good. The case averages 81 with all 4 lights, and 65% humidity. I'll update again shortley

Okay so i know i just updated yesterday. But today I actually got to use my olympus camera... I had to tear apart the house to find it [and go buy batterys when i went to get my coffee], but i did it.
Still using the 4 cfls, and (considering i have a bearded dragon, and a leapord gecko) have an extra 18" 15 watt 8.0uvb repti-glo bulb that i am going to add once the plants are a little bit bigger and can utilize it (along with the other cfls).

But i need the help of the RIU community. I need names for my little (hopefully) girls.... Best I came up with was Slash and Blaze.. and I'm not sure if i like the names enough to keep or not.

Another Update,

They look amazing (i think anyways)... Other than that, not too much to add.. 104 (real, not the fake number) watts at the moment, highest temp is 86 degrees F, and 55-65% humidity, with 24 hours of light a day.

I hope they stay short and stout as they are now, i have 3 sets of leaves (soon to be 4 - its there, just to small to consider a leaf yet) and the plants a whopping 1 1/2" inches tall. The leaves are actually as long if not longer then the plant. but other than that - ill upload the pictures before i start mumbling.

Oy.
So i wasnt able to be around my plant for 2 days...
and when i came back they were starting to get a little crispy (slash/blaze). I don't think its anything major though. but i think i see a nute issue in my one plant (slash), i'll have to watch the watering with her a little bit (she has the upside down curls in a few leaves). I noticed im also having a heat issue now (93* F), not much, but i gotta knock 5-10 degrees out to be safe - so i'll add another fan. I have to find better places to put the fans, but im really not too worried about it at the moment, the extra fan may have worked (You'll find out when i update tomorrow). There 19 days (i think?? lil 'blazed' to count) and i think i might flower tommorow to conserve space. I dont know if landslide is a tall or short strain, so to be safe im going to 12/12 early i think.

Also, does anyone find it funny that slash and blaze (being within 5 hours of each other) are the same height but slash isnt as dense? Im pretty sure thats because of this 'nute' issue (i think). That shows you how nutes affect your grow lol... i gotta watch my watering... even though they both get the same ammount of water every 3 days. I might bump it up to 4 days between waterings...

Once i upload these, i will go take some brand new pics and put them up.
(if you havent noticed yet - look how the one plant seems very indica dominant while the other looks very sativa dominant.... weird?)

They were on for 24 hours a day. They have been on the 12/12 now for a little while though. I want to say a week or so. I'll correct on the next post.

Ok now that i have collected my thoughts and such.
They have been on 12/12 for 11 days (a week and four days).
Still using the four pc fans, and i put a stronger (much stronger) fan in the box (400cfm on low setting, not quite sure what the cfm on the high setting is) to help strengthen up the stems a bit. Its not directly on the plants but its making quite the difference.

Case temps - 83 degrees - highest was 87*. Almost ready to put the 8.0 uvb bulb in, they just need to get a little bigger imho.

Case Humidity - average recorded humitidy - 60%

Blaze has taken off like a mad man. Slash how ever, is still in the nute lock - or is just stunted still. The soils ph (as of 2 minutes ago - 5.8 for slash, 6.0 for blaze). Water is 6.5 ph (its well water, so its fine - no chlorine or anything) but still sits for 2 days prior to watering.
Now for the newest pictures. In the first one you can see how much is shoved in the case lol (if your looking for the new big fan - its got white plastic around it in the right side)

i was thinking of pc case grow but how much pot can u actually get from a pc case?

You actually can do alright in a case. keeping in mind that its decent size computer case - an old server. My first grow in here was about 35 or so grams dried. It gets pretty packed in there about 3/4 of the way through flowering. Like really packed. I'm tweaking with it alot this grow so i can maximize everything, maybe get 60 grams this time..... Doubt it though, I'll prolly have another 30g harvest. But if every condition is right i dont see why you couldnt pull 2+ ounces out of a computer case.. I've seen it done in person 2 times (different peeps).

Also if i could be garenteed what is female and what is male it could make a giant difference for me.

Like if one of my two landslide seeds (now almost a real plant, LMAO) becomes female I'm gonna clone the shit of out of and run like 8 plants in a SCROG.
Lollipop them all so space isnt a huge issue and then Boom. hopefully more than 30g. But that depends on what i feel like doing.... Its either than or just let the one go crazy (or two if there both female *fingers crossed*
