Ladybugs?

I know that ladybugs are a good thing to have running amuck on your plants, but what about these ladybugs that the goverment released a few years back, to supposedly to feed wild turkey. they have an orange back instead of the pink back,, like the original ladybugs have. will they nibble on my plants or will they feast on other bugs/mites, etc.??? +reps to all who knows the answer! Thanks!!!!

hmmmmm.... I guess no one knows the answer to this!:spew:
 
From what I've read it doesn't matter the species, in general most ladybugs are an effective deterrent to other pesky pests. Spiders are also beneficial for the same reason.

+reps to ya! I also know that prey mantis's are good to have around. I have zillions of ladybugs here!
 
I've also heard that about mantis'. They say there pretty good about staying put once u put them in ur plot too! I'm going to hunt for some next time I'm in the woods and try em' out.

Yup lady bugs any species,garden spiders,praying mantis all are the best plant security you can have,the garden spiders usually come around late summer early fall at least here:peace:
