Ladybugs

For some reason the search on this site will not work for me so I am going to start a thread.

I have some questions about releasing ladybugs into my indoor garden.
Do they eat spider mites?
Will they survive if I dont not have a pest problem?
How quick before I am over run with little red bugs?

Has anyone even used them?
I remember putting a bunch in the flowerbed when I was younger but that was outside. Let me know what you know.

The search function works fine. I've read both good and bad about lady bugs. The bad reading was never anything that adversly effected the plant more as it was either lady bugs burning themselves on the HPS lighting or tons of them everywhere.

There is a thread out there concerning store bought lady bugs and them not staying in the area you want them in cuz they were taking off in search of some SEX.

The search function works....play around with it and I'm sure you'll find something. Even try a google search. Hopefully someone with 1st hand experience will pop on with some real info
