kratom for long term serious opiate addict

Ive been on opiates for years...the last two years ive been on methadone and just recently switched to suboxon...tried to dose down on the done...from 110mgs daily I dropped 10mgs a week then tried to kick it...I couldnt so found a suboxon doctor now im on 16mgs suboxon daily....what is this kratom stuff and would it be any good to someone like me?...can I get hi on it even tho im on suboxon?....and when the time comes for my dr to start dosing me down off subs would kratom help w withdrawals

Don't expect kratom to get you high. You're on a decent amount of subs. Kratom will help with withdrawal while tapering down the subs, and it can help w/d if you ever kicked the subs. You got down to 10mg of methadone and they gave you 16mg of bupe. That's like putting you back up to 40mg of done. At most you should have needed 8mg. I would drop to 8 then if you want to taper the bupe in 7-10 days cut that to 4 and cut it in half every 10-14 days. If you dissolve a strip in a known volume of water and store it in a sealed container you can dose that very low following that pattern. You wouldn't need the kratom at the end as you could be taking like an 0.125mg/day which is nothing. That's like half a Percocet.

I've just read about it,so I don't have first hand experience..but I heard it also has withdrawl effects..

Any mu agonist taken steadily for a long time will produce withdrawal.

no....u misread....I dosed down 10mg a week from 110per day til I hit 30mgs per day.....then quit cold turkey...using weed and xanax to help w the withdrawls....I fought em for a month n gave up....it was only getting worse no better and I couldnt work....so thats when I found the sub doctor....he asked where I dropped off the done...I told him 30mgs so he started me at 16mgs sub.....I know hes eventually gonna start dropping me and I see it being a problem....I have time tho n like u sd when it gets down to crunch time ill be cuttin off slivers for storage and rainy days....ima try n drop so gradually w drawls will b minumal...hopefully....I dont see it tho and it worries me....I work a pretty physical job (deckhand on tow boats) and cant work sick...just was curious abt kratom for when those days come but looks like its a trap too...

I like this idea of diluting the strips in water tho....I may try that...but doesnt the sub film have to be under tongue for best consumption?

You can drop the liquid under the tongue or between the cheek and the gum.
