"kind of a problem"

I am growing Traveling Thai in my grow room. I have been flowering for 10 days. My "problem" is that this girl shot up like a rocket. Went from 3 feet at the start of flowering to about 5 1/2 feet in 10 days. I barely have enough room as my cieling in my room is only 7 feet. I anticipate about another at least 3 feet from the plant. What can I do to shorten this monster besides putting it outside. I kinda bit off more than I could chew with this one. I read somewhere you are not supposed to top a plant in flowering. Just looking for ideas. She drinks about 2 gallons of water a week. I am growing in soil with Tiger bloom and molasses only. I thanks in advance.

you can top a plant at any time, It will just take longer to heal. You best bet is a training technique. Bend the pland a little at a time(dont snap it) and a large node will start growing at the bend. Keep doing this until you get it shrunk down to a managable size. I have alot of info on plant training for those really large strains. Also if you top the main cola, you should get more side growth. Up to 3 or 4 secondary colas
