hey everybody

im just fooling around with my first first outdoor balcony grow, i have 4 plants i germinated them in may,
3 of them is in a 10 l plastic bucket( i think its 4 gallons) and the last one i just replanted in a smaller clay pot( it was staunted)
all of them are growing healthy and much bigger then i anticipated, my problem is i think 2 of the plants are male and i need to kill them, so i will have 2 females ( 1 in the clay pot and 1 in the big platic one)
but what will happen to the roots of the killed ones?? my guess is they will just wither and be absorbed back in the dirt, but i dont want them to rott down in the soil with my female still in it, anyone got clues ?
cheers

(edit for spelling , english is not my first language)

hmm not 100% sure but i suggest getting down as deep as you can and taking out the entire root system if u can, without disturbing the other plants.

thats what i did with the little one, i had no probs with the rest after that removel, but i think the big male has roots all over the bucket, its almost 1m tall(3feet?) i cant even press my finger down in the soil anymore:? the one i think is female is much smaller, hmm maybe i should just replant the female?

Killing the males (if any) can cause root rot..what you can do is strip all the pods.and most of leaves and keep it growing... and "try" to avoid any pollination... Thats a whack of work & if you miss any pods you'll get seeds....in future 1 pot for 1 pot plant... luck.... ain't that a bitch..your plants all grew...lots would give their right balls to get their seeds to grow......... luck

feeling lucky now  when i think about it, i was mostly planting for the fun of it and not the yeiald, the seeds where 2 years old from a bag and germinated in lots of water and toilet paper in the window( facing south)
i have been mis treating my plants just to experiment( i have topped 1, trimmed all and super cropped the male )
and as nutes i have been giving beer, left over carb water and triming from my herbs( i just started giving some storebought nutes) i know that i really sould just do 1 plant 1 pot, but space is an issue ( have all my other herbs on the balcony too) i still think there is about 2 months to flowering so i still have some time to decide what to do with them.

english isn't your 1st language??? bloody nora!!! lol
am with twisty on the 1 plant per pot thing. but sounds like u got a couple of nice girlies there dude. any pix?

the 2 i think is male has small balls on a stick( they haven't popped yet so i cant see if there is any pestils:cry:)
and the ones i think is female dont have anything at the nodes, i dont have my sdl cam at my flat ATM so i can only post big pics of my plants( i took them with my phone cam) i can do some zoom pics in a day or two ( so you can see the nodes and balls) did some ms draw( looks like a kindergarden kid with crayons:blsmoke:)
